Project Instructions For this class project, you’ll be creating a soft spring landscape using gouache, focusing on blending, layering, and building depth through simple techniques. We’ll be working step by step, starting from simplifying the composition and planning the colours, all the way to adding details in the foliage and painting delicate flowers in the foreground. The goal here is not perfection, but to enjoy the process and capture the essence of the landscape in a loose and calming way. 🎨 Materials you’ll need: Gouache paints (Titanium White, Primary Red, Cadmium Yellow, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Sap Green, Prussian blue, Ivory Black) Flat & round brushes Watercolour or mixed media paper 2 Jars of water tissue or cloth Pencil, scale eraser Masking tape Mixing palette 📁 Resources available: To help you through the process, I’ve uploaded: The reference image used for this painting A colour palette sheet to guide your mixes and swatches Feel free to follow along exactly or make your own creative choices as you go.
